Interests/Other:  It is nice to see a group of individuals who are thinking about Bihar. We all
know that our beloved state is amongst the most backward parts of the world. We
can not just keep talking about it, or keep hearing about it -- we will need to
do something to make it a better place -- a better place where we, our friends
and family can live with prosperity and with due respect. We are among the most
previleged Biharis, and if we don't do something good for Bihar, then who will?

I have started an organization, called Setu, that works towards socio-economic
empowerment of underserved communities in Bihar. Please visit our website at
http://setu.mit.edu. Currently, we work on computer education, women's
empowerment, primary healthcare, and plan to work on creating employment
opportunities in future. All these projects are currently located at Naugachia
in Bhagalpur district.

I know that what I am doing is going to solve only a tiny piece of a big
problem. I would encourage you to join hands and work together to solve problems
in Bihar. If anyone is interested in getting involved with Setu or in starting
an NGO, I will be very happy to discuss it with you. Please drop me an email.

Apart from that, I am interested in basketball, running, parties and hanging out
with friends.

Hoping to hear from many of you.
Take care,
Mahesh Kumar
